At Youdera, we’re on a mission to make European businesses energy resilient. In an increasingly unpredictable world, companies need smarter, more independent energy solutions. We deliver distributed energy systems — solar PV, batteries, roof renovation, and monitoring & maintenance — that allow businesses to generate and use their own clean energy on-site.
Our Asset Management team keeps more than 2,500 solar assets (2 kWp – 3.6 MWp) running efficiently and profitably across Europe. Now, we’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented intern to join us in Barcelona and gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing renewable energy sector.
Why this internship is exciting
This internship offers a unique opportunity for (engineering) students interested in renewable energy systems and real-world infrastructure operations. You will work directly with a large portfolio of solar assets and gain insight into how distributed energy systems are monitored, optimized, and maintained.
From day one, you will move beyond theoretical coursework and apply your technical skills to real operational challenges. You will develop practical experience in areas such as solar asset performance analysis, data management, system monitoring, and technical coordination with stakeholders.
Working closely with an international team of engineers and asset managers, you will gain exposure to how large-scale renewable energy portfolios are managed end-to-end, from technical monitoring to operational optimization.
What you will be doing
As an Asset Management Intern, you will support the technical and operational performance of our solar portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the monitoring and performance tracking of solar PV assets
- Assisting with data analysis and maintaining accurate technical information across internal systems
- Helping identify performance deviations and supporting troubleshooting processes
- Coordinating with internal teams and external partners on operational matters
- Supporting customer communication regarding system performance and operational updates
- Contributing to improvements in asset monitoring and reporting processes
Who are we looking for
You’re likely a great fit if you:
- Are a final-year student or recent graduate (Engineering, Energy, Sustainability, Business or similar)
- Speak German or French fluently (mandatory)
- Are highly organized and detail-oriented
- Feel comfortable communicating with customers
- Are curious about renewable energy and eager to learn
- Enjoy working in an international environment
You will report to
Fabienne Bobillier, our Asset Manager.
Workplace & Contract
You will be based in our office in Barcelona with occasional travel to other offices in Spain and abroad. This concerns an internship or work student contract for 6 months. We are flexible regarding the number of hours.
